REGISTRATION FORM Important InformationCOMPETITION SECTIONSThe following are the competition sections that will be danced during the 2024 Gauteng Championships: Main Stream Sections• Level 1 to Level 4, Rising Star (Novice and Pre-Championship) sections: Juvenile 1 and 2, Junior 1 and 2, Youth, Adult, Senior 1 , 2 and 3• Championship sections: Juvenile 1 and 2, Junior 1• Champions League Sections: Junior 2, Youth, under 21, Adult, Senior 1, 2 and 3, Professional ALL GIRLS/SPECIAL SECTIONS• All-Girls sections. The all-girls sections will be treated as new sections and as such to register in these sections, dancers will pay a full competition entry fee. Only levels 1, 2 and 3 sections will be allowed to dance the all-girls sections. The minimum couples for all-girls section to be danced is three (3) couples. If there are two or less couples, the sections will be combined irrespective of ag e groups.• Physically Challenged Sections. The competition will cater for special sections as defined by respective studios. For physical impairment, the entry form must clearly define the type of physical challenge to ensure that athletes are grouped accordingly and that the groupings display similar forms of physical challenges. Couples who are not physically challenged do not qualify under this category.• Special Sections: These sections cater for singles where one dancer is accompanied either by a teacher/ or another competing dancer. Only levels 1 to 4 are catered for under these sections. Appropriate age groups will apply. The rest of the conditions are as defined under bullet 4 above. Qualification CriteriaThe competition is open to all dancers irrespective of affiliation.General InformationBy entering to compete in this event, the competitor/athlete/dancer agrees to abide by FDSSA-GP rules and terms and conditions applicable, outlined in this document and contained in the rule book and the constitution. The stage area is reserved for Event Officials and Guests only.Right of admission to the competition is strictly reserved. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the competition venue.Competition Rules & RegulationsRegistration & Entries• All FDSSA-GP athletes must be paid up, registered members for 2024.• Please ensure that you bring your original proof of payment to registration desk as it will be required to register.• Late entries and entries received without proof of payment will NOT BE ACCEPTED.• Entries may only be submitted on the official competition entry form.• Sections will be combined or cancelled if insufficient entries are received, in accordance with the rules.• Competitors must note starting times, sections will not be re-danced due to late arrivals.• Athletes have to report to the marshalling area at least 15 minutes before their sections are to be danced.• Temporary cloth numbers will be available at the competition at a Refundable deposit of R20 for ALL athletes. Dancers using unauthorized numbers will be disqualified.• Only individuals that paid for table seats to occupy seats and/specific areas – this will be checked on a regular basis. So, please hold on to your ticket/tag• Non-officiating PABs, DTO’s must purchase a ticket to gain entry to the competition. Syllabus & Dress CodeNATIONAL SYLLABUS & DRESS CODE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.• All members are urged to seek information from their PAB if necessary. These are available from the FDSSA-GP website.• Athletes who do not adhere to the Dress Code will not be allowed to take the floor.• Juvenile 1 & 2 and Junior 1 and Junior 2 in all levels are not allowed to wear make-up, earrings, base, and dresses with sequins or Swarovski’s on their dresses.• Junior 1 boys are only allowed to wear black or midnight blue Latin tops with no decoration or bling.• Junior 1 Championship girls are allowed to wear competition dresses, but no feathers, sequins or Swarovski on the dresses. No make-up and no jewellery to be worn• Junior 1 and Junior 2 Novice girls should be dressed in a leotard and skirt. No make-up or jewellery is allowed.• The girls dancing in the Juvenile 1 & 2 Championship sections MUST wear the leotard and skirt. No make-up. Fancy dresses with bling is not allowed in these sections. No Smoking Policy• Smoking is strictly forbidden in all areas of the venue!• The venue operators will impose a fine on anyone caught smoking in the venue. Behaviour of Athletes and Spectators• Club heads must ensure the well behaviour of their athletes and spectators.
