National Champions League 1 – This Weekend’s Line-Up

The Federation of Dance Sport South Africa is proud to present National Champions League 1, taking place this weekend at the beautiful Stellenbosch Town Hall in the Western Cape.

This highly anticipated event marks an exciting moment in the 2026 dance calendar, bringing together dancers from across the country to compete in a full day of Standard and Latin competition across all age groups and levels.

What to Expect

From early morning through to late evening, the floor will be alive with energy, discipline, and world-class talent.

End Time: Late evening (Final prize giving after 11:00 PM)
Categories: Juvenile, Junior, Youth, Adult & Senior
Styles: Standard & Latin
Levels: Level 1 through Championship divisions

The day begins with Juvenile Standard events, setting the tone with Waltz and Tango, and builds all the way up to the Adult Championship Latin Finals, showcasing the highest level of competitive dance in the country.

Highlights of the Day

Expect a full progression of competitive dance:

Morning Session:
Standard events across all levels, including rising stars and championship divisions
Midday:
Transition into Latin categories featuring Cha Cha and Rumba
Afternoon & Evening:
Advanced Latin rounds including Samba, Paso Doble, and Jive
culminating in the Championship Finals
Key Moments:
Prize Giving for Standard divisions (late morning)
Latin Warm-Up & Evening Finals
Final Prize Giving to close the event
