Media Release: Experience the grace, precision, and passion of Dance Sport at the Federation of Dance Sport South Africa National Achievers and Championships 2023.

Gauteng, the Federation of Dance Sport South Africa National Achievers and Championships 2023 is set to take place on Friday, 6th and Saturday, 7th October 2023 at The Great Hall, North West University, Mahikeng Campus, Bokone Bophirima province .

The event will be preceded by an Athletes High Performance Workshop to take place on Thursday, 5th October 2023. The High Performance Workshop will be facilitated by some of our esteemed adjudicators forming part of the panel of adjudicators  for this prestigious event, among which is Ms Tebogo Kgobokoe– a seasoned former South African Champion and Professional who hails from the province of Bokone Bophirima and Mr Kevin Juul – a seasoned World DanceSport Federation (WDSF)Adjudicator from the Western Cape province.  

The complete Panel of Adjudicators for the prestigious event consists of the esteemed:

Mrs Gladys Bullock Chair of Adjudicators (Western Cape);
Ms Tebogo Kgobokoe Adjudicator (Bokone Bophirima);
Mr Kevin Juul Adjudicator (Western Cape);
Mr Duerell de Pontes Adjudicator (Gauteng);
Mr Gregory Moolman Adjudicator (Western Cape);
Dr Randall Raubenheimer Adjudicator (Gauteng);
Mrs Karouna Chengleroyan Adjudicator (KwaZulu-Natal);
Mr Christopher Bulpitt Adjudicator (Gauteng).


Dance Sport – a highly competitive form of Ballroom and Latin dancing that requires skill, precision, and endurance will be
displayed by athletes from various age groups from juvenile, junior, youth, under 21, adult up to seniors. The National Achievers and Championships will feature solos and couples of all levels from level 1 to Championship up to seasoned Professionals, competing in categories Standard and Latin American. The event is expected to draw in close to 900 athletes and up to 300 spectators from all over the country and promises to be an exciting showcase of Dance Sport talent by representative athletes from all 9 provinces.

Ticket prices: R200 unreserved seating, R300 reserved (table) seating and R300 seasonal ticket.

Special Price: R40 for NWU studentcardcarrying students and local school learners (to be ratified with relevant teachers).
